Dr. George Nahass – USS Illinois Medical Director

George NahassDr. George T. Nahass is a board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin diseases. Dr. Nahass actively sees patients in Mt. Vernon and Centralia, IL.

Dr. Nahass has almost 40 years experience in the field of dermatology. He has authored or co-authored over 45 medical publications and has been an invited guest to speak at numerous lectures during his medical career.

Dr. Nahass was valedictorian of the 1981 class of Rutgers University School of Pharmacy. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and then completed a 3 year residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. 

He completed his 3 year residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital before joining the faculty at the University of St. Louis, where he worked for 10 years. 

While at SLU, he completed an additional fellowship in Dermatopathology.

Dr. Nahass has received many honors including:
