Skin Care Center of Southern Illinois Is Now Offering CoolSculpting®

MT. VERNON, Il. (Mar. 1, 2018) – Skin Care Center of Southern Illinois announced today that it’s now offering CoolSculpting®. The clinic is one of only a few select cosmetic dermatology clinics in the area to offer this service.

CoolSculpting is non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses a controlled fat freezing process that effectively targets and eliminates unwanted bulges.

Unlike most other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting® involves no needles, no surgery, and no downtime. Patients often spend their time during the procedure reading, working or simply relaxing.

“Many patients have stubborn fat pockets that they’d like to reduce, but diet and exercise alone aren’t always effective,” said Dr. George Nahass, board-certified dermatologist at Skin Care Center of Southern Illinois. “CoolSculpting works with a patient’s body to naturally flush away the frozen, dead fat cells.”

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is FDA-cleared to eliminate stubborn fat in eight treatment areas including the abdomen, flanks, back, outer thighs, inner thighs, double chin, and upper-arm.

“CoolSculpting destroys fat cells in targeted areas and patients typically see a noticeable reduction within a few weeks after treatment,” said Dr. Nahass. “Best of all, because it’s a gradual reduction in the appearance of fat, the results look natural and leaves the patient looking more sculpted over time.”

Individuals interested in CoolSculpting® can determine if they are a candidate for the treatment by calling Skin Care Center of Southern Illinois’ Mt. Vernon office at 618.244.0031.
